It is a scientifically proven fact that one pound of fat loss is equal to burning 3,500 more calories of energy than the number of calories worth of food that you consume. So that means that if you were determined to crack the code of how to lose a pound a day, by burning one pound of fat over the course of a 24 hour period, then you would need to engage in a combination of caloric control and cardiovascular exercise that would mathematically yield a 3,500 calorie deficit within that 24 hour period. This feat may seem extremely simple and straightforward, when you break it down mathematically on paper. But to actually achieve weight loss at the rate of one pound per day is a lot easier said than done.

It is no wonder that the vast majority of nutritionists, dietitians and medical practitioners all cry foul when it comes to the notion that you can lose 1 pound of fat every 24 hours. They all pretty much unanimously assert that losing 1 pound of fat in 24 hours is unhealthy, unsafe, and impractical. Note that they are not denying that it is possible how to lose a pound a day, because it is demonstrably possible. What they are raising concerns over is the fact that by attempting to lose weight this rapidly, you run the risk of sabotaging your own dieting efforts, whether you realize it or not.

Let’s say that you were to starve yourself in order to minimize the number of calories you take in to the bare minimum… like 500 calories or less per day. You may think that by reducing your caloric intake by this much, you will lose weight more quickly. But the reality is that your body’s metabolism will actually slow down. (Your body’s metabolism is the mechanism responsible for regulating the rate at which your body processes food, burns energy, and stores fat.) When your metabolism slows down, it processes food more slowly, converting more food into fat and less into energy. Conversely, when your metabolism accelerates, it processes food more quickly, and converts more food into energy and stores less as fat.

So if you starve yourself, your dieting efforts will actually backfire, because your body will simply adjust its metabolism, which means that 500 calories will become your new “equilibrium”. Your weight loss will actually slow down. This is definitely not how to lose a pound a day.

So, this begs the question: What is the right way how to lose a pound a day? The answer is actually really quite simple, when considered in the context of the above discussion about how the body’s metabolism works.

What if there were a way to manipulate your body’s metabolism, at will, so that it accelerates and burns fat more quickly? What if this could be done naturally, without taking any diet pills, without engaging in any exercise, without eating any “superfoods”, without sacrificing any foods, or without starving yourself?

What if you could eat food from each of the major food groups, and you could eat it in sufficient quantity that you are always satisfied and your cravings for sweet or salty foods never goes unfulfilled, and that the only thing you would have to do differently was to eat your meals according to a certain pattern that is conducive to stimulating the body’s metabolism so as to trigger and induce fat burning?
